More on yesterdays draw

Just a few things to share with ye from yesterday’s games. First off I have complied some match reports from across the internet for your reading pleasure, most of it goes with the same tone. A strong start form Galway which faded and Louth could and should have won it. Here they are:

Squad stats and results have also been updated on the back of yesterday’s game. On reflection I think we where very lucky to come away with a draw, considering we had scored 1-05 within 20 minutes and only scored 3 points in the next 50 minutes tell me that no team deserves to win any game at any level with stats like that.

Also I didn’t get around to it yesterday but congratulations to Clonbur who are newly crowned All Ireland Junior Club Football Champions. Trailing throughout, they dug deep and came up with a one point win, I can imagine the wild celebrations that were undertaken in the capital last night and back home this evening. Fair play to ye lads.

Commiseration to the hurlers of both Gort and the Galway seniors who were both comprehensively beaten at the weekend. Having witnessed the hurlers in Pearse Stadium I was disappointed with the showing and Kilkenny looked a class above. The most worrying aspect, they only looked in 1st or 2nd gear.

That’s about it.
