Galway Overcome IT Sligo

A game which in essence, paled in insignificance as Galway bowed out of the FBD League despite a 16 point win against the Students from Sligo. Matthew Clancy was the man of hour as he notched up 2-05 from his days work. Galway now are building towards the National Football league and beyond, with remaining in division 1 being Galways main aim.

I have updated the results section of the site as well as updated the squad stats, I have also put together some news reports from yesterdays game:

Galway 1:20 – 0:07 IT Sligo

[Galway GAA Website] [Irish Examiner] [Irish Independent] [Irish Times]

Elsewhere yesterday, Caltra Cuans won the All Ireland Junior ladies title after a a six point win against St. Enda’s of Omagh. Congrats to all involved, you can see a match report courtesy of Hoganstand.com here.
