GMIT are coming out of two draw from their opening two games in the league which leaves them second in group B of the FBD league, they where unlucky however to be cut short against Sligo in the last round of games after a last-minute goal seen the ”Dublin road students” settle for a draw.

The paper continues with a report on Galway’s win in Ballinamore. The reporter goes on to talk about how Nicky Joyce was the difference after scoring 1-6 on Sunday. A report on Leitir Mor disappointing All Ireland semi final defeat also makes an appearance, saying that  “John Gilmore’s (Cookstown) goal with minutes remaining put the final nail on Naomh Anna’s coffin”.
